Benson Grove Bible Institute
“And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” (Acts 5:42). If you are interested in learning more about God and His precious Word and being better equipped to serve the Lord Jesus, the BGBI can fulfill that desire. It is a structured course that will allow you to accomplish these goals. We are teaching the Bible in the format of Old Testament survey, New Testament survey, and Bible Doctrine. There are six semesters with sixteen classes per semester. The classes are held on Tuesday night at the church from 7-10 p.m. We have fully qualified professors, each having their Master’s degree in Biblical studies. We believe that anyone who enrolls and completes this course of study will have a very solid Bible education.
“Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed!” Children ages 3-11 are welcome to attend our AWANA program. The goal of Awana Clubs is to reach boys and girls for Christ and train them to serve Him. They meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m. The children have handbook time where they learn and understand bible verses, game time featuring individual and team competition, and council time with a message, singing, announcements of upcoming events and presentation of awards. The club meetings are open to all!
A picture is worth a thousand words. Our Lord so well knew that as he used word pictures and parables even people as examples as he taught. That is the basis of our drama ministry. We try to make the Bible come alive in a visual manner. Our largest drama ministries of the year are judgement house and an Easter production that has involved as many as 135 cast members. We also have many drama outreaches in worship services and outreach ministries, in nursing homes, youth revivals, softball and baseball tournament’s and mission fields. For more information about having a drama team come to you or about our upcoming productions please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The Men’s Fellowship meets on the 2nd Saturday morning of each month to have breakfast, prayer, and a message from different speakers. Here they are eating at Brother Billy’s favorite place, Bojangles, before heading to an event. They have a great time together.

The music ministry at BGBC offers a variety of opportunities. Whether members chose to serve with their voice or with instrumental talents, there is always room for growth. We have a vision to broaden our music ministry with more solos, trios, quartets, and hopefully an orchestra. Our choir is very enthusiastic and our mission is to honor God and be a blessing to others through music.
“Christians Actively Reaching Everyone.” If you are a member of the CARE ministry you would be committed to serving one Wednesday night a month by visiting the sick, witnessing, sending cards, making phone calls, providing community services, or praying. The CARE team provides nurture and support for the needs of our church members and community members. There is always room for growth in this ministry. We are a church that cares!
The Highway Shepherd
“Go ye therefore into the highways.. (Matthew 22:9). The highway shepherd is a home missions project working to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to truckers and travelers across the United States and around the world. We place cassette tapes of Gospel preaching and singing in truck and travel stops throughout the country. These tapes are absolutely free to anyone who would like one. Dr. Cashwell receives letters and phone calls every week from people all over the country describing how the tapes have helped strengthen their Christian faith and brought them closer to God. Some listeners have even accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior!
BGBC supports local and international missionarys including the Philippines, Surinam-South America, Wales, Costa Rica, a Philippines ministry in Charlotte, the Baptist Mission of Forgotten People, a disabilities ministry in New England, a local radio show, a homeless ministry and many other individual ministries.
